Shades of Evening in Silhouette"

The blue card is a duplex card stock, the inside is white. I used "Distress" re-inker liquid in Mustard Seed, Shabby Shutters, and Tumbled Glass in individual spritzers on white gift wrap tissue paper. I dried the colored paper with the blow dryer and crumpled then straightened it. I used the Xyron 4" Adhesive runner to attach the tissue paper to a 5 1/4" x 4' white card stock. L to R- The saying is from ODBD's "Keep My lamp Burning" collection, flowers from Bead Design Company, seed beads ?, leaves from Imaginisce, Snag-em Stamps, "Flowers," Children stamp is "Child's Wonder" by B Line Stamps, pearls by Memory Box. Title "Shades of Evening in Silhouette." For ODBDSLC17, Summer colors

Graduation Card, edited 5/12/10

I created this graduation card on Mother's day. It measures 6" x 6." I forgot the name of the green leafy background paper. The first & second layers are Graphic 45,"Botanicabella, 'Secret Garden,' & 'leaves(?)'
The tag is Spellbinders, Label Two (largest size), The verse is stamped with Versafine "Vintage Sepia," I used Spellbinders Edgeabilities, "Rose Blossoms" as a stencil and pastel chalk to color everything. The verse is from ODBD, Scripture Collection 1. I used a piece of white card stock on the inside and used Stampibilities, "It is YOUR Special Day" stamp #FR1090. The butterfly was a spare from a class. This for ODBD Graduation challenge"Something, Something." Something old is the chalk I used on the roses, leaves and other flowers. Something new is the Graphic 45 papers. Something received is the edge punch by Martha Stewart.

My first blog

Hi, My name is Kay, I am a wife, mother, grandmother (3), and dog owner, one Beagle (Scooter) and one Cocker Spaniel (Lady). I am retired from the Army Reserves. I do some scrapbooking, but currently my attention and passion has been on card making. I am a daughter of the King, and joint heir with his son, Jesus. I've not had the occasion to work in a craft store, nor am I a designer for a store. I do it as a hobby. I give them to family and friends.
